Millions of Australians Are Choking on Smoke From Wildfires

Away from the flames, millions of Australians are breathing unhealthy air this summer as smoke from the country's disastrous wildfires clouds skies from Sydney to Canberra to Melbourne.

Australian cities of Canberra, Sydney or Melbourne have been blanketed by a thick haze of smoke from nearby wildfires. Air quality is strongly impacted by the smoke with particulate matters concentrations spiking from 100 mg to 400 mg per cube meter.

Air pollution from wildfire goes beyond Australian borders as hazy skies have been reported until New Zealand.
