Private vehicles are a major contributor to Delhi’s pollution

According to the author, Delhi’s elites and middle classes who are otherwise vocal campaigners for clean air are outraged at the idea of restrictions on their cars.

The article thus details the contribution of individual vehicles to air pollution. The author also highlights the choice of the middle and upper classes not to use public transport, which contributes to the increase in private vehicle traffic.
